NEWS!!!! A resolution opposing toll roads and the SH 249 Toll Road project in
Grimes County was passed by Grimes County Commissioners Court on Tuesday
morning, February 10th. This is a huge step, and follows on the
heels of the Town of Anderson passing a resolution opposing the SH 249 project
last month. In a further indication of support, the City of Iola passed
resolutions against the SH 249 Toll Road and the BVC/CTT electrical
transmission line projects on Tuesday evening. Iola issued a letter opposing
the Texas Central Railway HSR project in January. THANK YOU IOLA!!!!!!! Also, a
special thank you to County Commissioners Pam Finke and J.R. Green for
sponsoring and supporting the toll road resolution in Commissioners Court.
Commissioners Barbara Walker and David Dobyansky voted in favor of the
resolution as well. THANK YOU COMMISSIONERS!!!!!!
